WHO ARE WE
IdsPadelTravel is a small travel company, run by organizers Ids and Winand Hannema. Both Ids and Winand are experienced padel coaches. Since 2019 they give padel classes at various locations and levels in the north of The Netherlands. As often as possible they travel to (southern) Spain to receive padel coaching by (top) coaches. Also, they love to play matches and tournaments with and against spanish players. Ids and Winand are further introduced below.
Ids (1998) has a background in football as well as in tennis and padel. He studied Sport Management at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. After two years he moved to the US where he spent 2.5 years at Wright State University, Ohio, as a student-athlete. Here he played football at the top college level and graduated cum laude (with honors) in Organizational Leadership. After his return, he decided to fully focus on padel. Therefore he left for 6 months to the south of Spain, where he further developed as a padel player and coach. Since the summer of 2023 he ranks as a padel player within the top 20 in the Netherlands and the top-500 worldwide. He obtained his tennis coach diploma in 2018 and his padel coach diploma in 2019. Ids has extensive experience in coaching, both in tennis and padel. At present he gives padel classes in Assen, Westerbork and Norg. The videos below give an impression of padel classes given by Ids and Winand. Also shown is a full match of Ids with padel partner Sven Boele against Carlos Velero and Alejandro Urzola during a FIP tournament in Hoorn.
Winand (1959) is a very experienced (>30 years) tennis coach from the North of The Netherlands. After successfully running Tennis School Noordenveld for several years, he has now been completely caught by the padel fever. Winand has padel coaching certificates from the KNLTB and the NPB. As a result, he has been giving padel classes at numerous padel clubs in Groningen and Drenthe. At the moment he gives padel classes (>20 h/wk) in Westerbork, Borger and Roden. He also provides introductory padel classes for all ages and levels. Furthermore, he gives clinics and is very experienced in organizing tennis and padel tournaments.
